Financial Regulator

www.financialregulator.ie

PAYDAQ was the first company approved by the financial regulator to carry on business as an authorised and fully licensed money transfer company. Click here to view PAYDAQ's authorisation.

The Financial regulator is the governing body for financial institutions in Ireland and insures that proper levels of care and standards are met. At PAYDAQ we work hard to meet these standards and were possible exceed them.

  • PAYDAQ Management — Our management is monitored by the Financial Regulator and all individuals who perform key functions within our business need to be approved by the Financial Regulator as "fit and proper". Significant responsibilities such as finance and technical development and money laundering reporting must be apportioned between senior staff.
  • Systems & Controls — Care must be taken to implement systems and policies to ensure compliance with the Financial Regulator’s Codes of Practice. As a regulated company, PAYDAQ must comply with the Financial Regulator’s principles for business which include observing proper standards of market conduct, arranging adequate customer complaint procedures and having in place adequate risk management systems.
  • Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Controls — Ireland is a member country of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and the European Union (EU) and has enacted laws and guidelines to implement the anti-money laundering policies of both FATF & the EU. PAYDAQ implements an AML program that includes the appointment of a designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) who's responsibility it is to report any suspicious transactions to An Garda Síochána and the Revenue.
